Aino Health, the leading provider in Corporate Health Management, is building its second European HealthDesk. This will be based in Kalix in Norrbotten. With Kalix as base, Aino Health will enable its customers and their employees to manage health, workability and sick absences proactively and professionally with real-time transparency.

The HealthDesk – a call centre and knowledge hub for employee/employer dialogue during illness – is of strategic importance within Aino Health’s IT-platform and service. Since Aino Health was founded, the service has provided Finnish customers and their employees with proven and lasting results. The solution is built based on learning and insights from servicing more than 150 clients. For these clients, the service has resulted in a decrease of sick leaves with 20 – 50 percent, and handled over one million health enhancing actions meeting needs in health, wellbeing and safety in order to improve productivity, cost efficiency and employee engagement.

“Health Management is rapidly becoming mission critical for organisations and companies across the world – also in Finland and in Sweden. Today, many organisations – both private and public – are facing challenges with workability, sickness absences, safety and other areas of health management among its employees resulting in that financial and strategic goals cannot be met. There has, up until today, not been any company with tools and systems in place to help organisations tackle the root cause behind sick leave. That’s what we at Aino Health specialise in, and I’m pleased to announce that we are ahead of plan and will be able to offer this service in Sweden within short”, says Jyrki Eklund, CEO of Aino Health.

“I welcome Aino Health, who is a new and interesting employer, to Kalix. I’m pleased to see a listed company decide to invest and establish an operation in our municipality. It’s a great example of that the job we have done to build a working infrastructure can attract service and knowledge driven companies to Kalix. The value based service Aino Health provides will result in more job opportunities in Kalix , while at the same time becoming a part of creating a world where organisations and people are healthier”, says Tommy Nilsson, chairman of the municipality board in Kalix.

“I hope that we from Kalix, through Aino Health, can take a broader initiative in company health related issues in relation to public and private employers starting in Norrbotten County and then throughout Sweden. In Kalix we have access to a skilled and competent workforce to help build Aino Health’s call centre”, continues Tommy Nilsson.

The service in Kalix will go live in 2Q2017 and will expand as the customer base grows.
